History: The Cadwell Building was built in 1889 after the devastating Ellensburg fire. In 1960, Charles Davis bought the building for use as Davis Furniture and in 1974 it was sold to the Kittitas Co. Historical Museum.
The museum currently has permanent collections of Native American basketry and petroglyphs, vintage equipment, heritage quilts and many other items donated by Kittitas Valley residents. The museum is open for visitors, Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm.
